Kick off your visit on the 19th (Fri): take in the exciting artwork at IXL Tasmanian Art Gallery and then wander the streets of Sullivans Cove.

In May, daytime highs in Bruny Island are 17°C, while nighttime lows are 7°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Mon) so you can travel to Melbourne.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and ACMI. For shopping fun, head to Collins St/Swanston St or Melbourne Central. Step out of Melbourne to go to Pearcedale and see Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, which is approximately 1 hour away. Enjoy Melbourne some more: wander the streets of Degraves Street, admire the masterpieces at ArtVo, take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Patrick's Cathedral, and look for gifts at Readings Kids.

Traveling by combination of ferry and flight from Bruny Island to Melbourne takes 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and flight. You'll have a few hours on the 27th (Sat) to wrap things up before traveling home.
