Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Hobart: Raptor Refuge (in Kettering) and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (in Brighton). On the 16th (Wed), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Sydney in August: high temperatures in Hobart hover around 15°C and lows are around 4°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sat) so you can drive to Launceston.
