Khasab — 1 night

A lively provincial capital, Khasab has been termed the "Norway of Arabia," because of its dramatic coastline, where dramatic inlets resemble the fjords of Scandinavia.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Mon): explore the activities along Khawr Najd and then fulfill a lifelong dream with a swim-with-the-dolphins experience. Keep things going the next day: explore the historical opulence of Festung Cacapo and then don't miss a visit to Khasab Fort.

Muscat to Khasab is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and car. Expect a daytime high around 28°C in February, and nighttime lows around 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Tue) to allow time to fly to Salalah.

The Sultanate's second city, Salalah has become known as a southerly counterpoint to the capital in the north.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Wed): explore the striking landscape at Teeq Cave and Tawi Ateer Sinkhole, head outdoors with Wadi Darbat, then explore the ancient world of Sumhuram Old City, and finally see the interesting displays at Museum of the Frankincense Land. On the 18th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: delve into the mystery of Earth Gravity Controversial, then kick back and relax at Al Fizayah Beach, and then stroll through Al Mughsail Beach.

When traveling from Khasab in February, plan for a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Salalah: temperatures range from 32°C by day to 22°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 18th (Thu) early enough to travel to Al Hamra.
