One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Kick off your visit on the 21st (Sun): get a taste of the local shopping with Myeongdong Shopping Street, enjoy breathtaking views from N Seoul Tower, then take in nature's colorful creations at Namsan Park, and finally see the interesting displays at Love Museum. Keep things going the next day: explore the world behind art at National Folk Museum of Korea, then wander the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village, and then wander the streets of Insadong.

Kuwait City, Kuwait to Seoul is an approximately 17-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Kuwait City to Seoul. When traveling from Kuwait City in August, plan for cooler days and little chillier nights in Seoul: temperatures range from 86°F by day to 74°F at night. The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Start off your visit on the 23rd (Tue): head outdoors with Haeundae Beach, then take some stellar pictures from Taejongdae, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Yongdusan Park.

Fly from Seoul to Busan in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In August, daily temperatures in Busan can reach 87°F, while at night they dip to 74°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Tue) so you can catch the flight to Jeju.

Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Wed): take in the dramatic scenery at Jeongbang Waterfall and then take in the dramatic scenery at Cheonjiyeon Falls. On the 25th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: kick back and relax at Hamdeok Beach and then Head underground at Manjanggul Cave.
