New Delhi, India to Hiroshima is an approximately 13.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone difference moving from India Standard Time to Japan Standard Time is 3.5 hours. Traveling from New Delhi in May, you will find days in Hiroshima are much colder (28°C), and nights are slightly colder (18°C). Finish up your sightseeing early on the 11th (Thu) so you can catch the train to Himeji.

Himeji — 1 night

The castle around which the city of Himeji has developed represents one of the best preserved in the country, and has been designated as a national treasure and a World Heritage Site.
Kick off your visit on the 12th (Fri): explore the historical opulence of Himeji Castle, visit Hijeji Civic Center, stop by Kooma, browse the different shops at Terasso Himeji, then buy something for everyone on your list at Piole Himeji, and finally make a trip to Nigiwai Koryu Hiroba.

Getting from Hiroshima to Himeji by train takes about 2 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of bus and train. In May in Himeji, expect temperatures between 25°C during the day and 20°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 12th (Fri) so you can catch the train to Kyoto.

You can take a train from Himeji to Kyoto in 1.5 hours. Another option is to drive. Traveling from Himeji in May, expect nights in Kyoto to be about the same, around 17°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 29°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 18th (Thu) early enough to fly to Tokyo.

Tokyo — 4 nights

Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Ueno District and Nezu Shrine are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Nezu Museum and Yanaka District. There's still lots to do: relax and rejuvenate at Waho-An NATURE Tokyo, make a trip to Kyu-Furukawa Gardens, wander the streets of Odaiba District, and head outdoors with Odaiba Kaihin Koen (Odaiba Seaside Park).
