One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Seoul is known for sightseeing, shopping, and museums. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, tour the pleasant surroundings at Cheonggyecheon Stream, get a taste of the local shopping with Namdaemun Market, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Jongmyo Shrine.

Tel Aviv, Israel to Seoul is an approximately 15.5-hour flight. The time zone changes from Israel Standard Time to Korean Standard Time, which is usually a 7 hour difference. When traveling from Tel Aviv in March, plan for a bit cooler days in Seoul, with highs around 13°C, while nights are cooler with lows around 1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Tue) so you can catch the flight to Jeju.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Jeju: Seogwipo (Seongsan Ilchulbong, Cheonjiyeon Falls, &more). There's much more to do: stroll around Hallim Park, take in the awesome beauty at Saebyeol Oreum, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Gwaneumsa Temple, and go for a walk through Handam Coastal Trail.

You can fly from Seoul to Jeju in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train, taxi, and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sat) early enough to fly to Gyeongju.

Museum Without Walls

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 9th (Sun), contemplate the long history of Bulguksa Temple, get in on the family fun at Gyeongju World, and then explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.

Getting from Jeju to Gyeongju by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In April, plan for daily highs up to 14°C, and evening lows to 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Busan.

Busan — 3 nights

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
On the 10th (Mon), kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach, then kick back and relax at Haeundae Beach, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Haedong Yonggungsa, and finally observe the fascinating underwater world at SEA LIFE Busan Aquarium. Here are some ideas for day two: browse the eclectic array of goods at Jagalchi Market, walk around Yongdusan Park, then take some stellar pictures from Taejongdae, and finally relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

Drive from Gyeongju to Busan in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Gyeongju in April, you will find days in Busan are a bit warmer (22°C), and nights are a bit cooler (10°C). Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 12th (Wed) to allow enough time to fly back home.
