Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Get some historical perspective at Gwaneumsa Temple and Hangpaduri Hangmong Historic Site. Visit Hamdeok Beach and Sehwa Beach for some beach relaxation. Venture out of the city with trips to Seogwipo (Gasiri Wind Power Plant & Seongsan Ilchulbong). Next up on the itinerary: explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave, kick back and relax at Gwakji Gwamul Beach, get outside with Woljeongri Beach, and browse the eclectic array of goods at Dongmun Market.

Singapore, Singapore to Jeju is an approximately 11-hour flight. The time zone difference when traveling from Singapore to Jeju is 1 hour. Finish your sightseeing early on the 12th (Wed) to allow enough time to fly to Busan.

Busan — 2 nights

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Kick off your visit on the 13th (Thu): take some stellar pictures from Taejongdae, then walk around Yongdusan Park, and then visit Busan Gamcheon Culture Village. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, then make a trip to Haeundae Cinema Street, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggungsa.

You can fly from Jeju to Busan in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In April, daily temperatures in Busan can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 10°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 14th (Fri) so you can go by car to Gyeongju.

Museum Without Walls

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 15th (Sat), take an in-depth tour of Shilla Arts and Science Museum, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple, and then steep yourself in history at Seokguram.

Drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. While traveling from Busan, expect slightly colder days and somewhat warmer nights in Gyeongju, ranging from highs of 14°C to lows of 14°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Sat) so you can catch the flight to Seoul.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Get some historical perspective at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Cheonggyecheon Stream. Shop till you drop at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Market. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Seoul: Gogang Prehistoric Relics Park (in Bucheon) and DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju).
