Kawazu-cho — 2 nights

A good base for exploring the scenic Izu Peninsula, the town of Kawazu-cho, partly set in within a national park, remains well-known for its many hot spring resorts.
On the 19th (Sun), test the waters at a local thermal spa, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kappa no Tera Seisoku-ji Temple, then don't miss a visit to Perry Road, and finally steep yourself in history at Former Sawamura Residence.
