Kyoto — 3 nights

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
Your inner history buff will appreciate Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine and Yasaka Shrine. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Kennin-ji Temple and Tofuku-ji Temple. Onna-son — 2 nights

Located on the coast in the middle of the island, Onna-son has become known for its beaches and seaside economy.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Wed): kick back and relax at Minna Beach, kick back and relax at Anchihama, stop by Farmer's Market Haisai! Yanbaru Market, then enjoy the sand and surf at Nago citizen Beach, and finally kick back and relax at Busena Beach. On the 27th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the gorgeous colors at Manza Dream Hole, then enjoy the sand and surf at Diamond Beach, and then see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour.

In July, daily temperatures in Onna-son can reach 37°C, while at night they dip to 30°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Thu) so you can travel to Iriomote-jima.

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
