Kyoto — 14 nights

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Kyoto Railway Museum and Tempozan Ferris Wheel. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kyoto: Horyu-ji Temple (in Ikaruga-cho), Suzuka Circuit (in Suzuka) and Osaka (Food Tours, Umeda Sky Building, &more). There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sanzen-in Temple, make a trip to Eikando Zenrinji Temple, explore the activities along Amanohashidate, and admire the natural beauty at Okochi Sanso Garden.
