Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Hamdeok Beach and Alive Museum Jeju. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Jeju: Seogwipo (Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff, Cheonjiyeon Falls, &more). Spend the 19th (Wed) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Hyeopjae Beach, get a taste of the local shopping with The Islander, take in nature's colorful creations at Hallim Park, and walk around Jeju Stone Park.

Little Rock, USA to Jeju is an approximately 21.5-hour flight. The time zone difference when traveling from Little Rock to Jeju is 15 hours. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Fri) to allow enough time to fly to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Gwangandaegyo Bridge and Taejongdae. There's much more to do: stroll around Dongbaekseom, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggungsa, indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas, and get outside with Gwangalli Beach.

Traveling by flight from Jeju to Busan takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In July, plan for daily highs up to 84°F, and evening lows to 73°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 24th (Mon) early enough to catch the flight to Seoul.

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Step off the beaten path and head to Seoul Arts Center and Deoksugung. There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, shop like a local with Myeongdong Shopping Street, and get to know the fascinating history of Cheonggyecheon Stream.

Fly from Busan to Seoul in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In July, daily temperatures in Seoul can reach 85°F, while at night they dip to 74°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 29th (Sat) to allow time to fly back home.
