The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.

Start off your visit on the 15th (Sat): see the interesting displays at Gyeongju National Museum, then contemplate the waterfront views at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, and then steep yourself in history at Cheonmachong Tomb.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Explore hidden gems such as Hamdeok Beach and Alive Museum Jeju. Venture out of the city with trips to Seogwipo (Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff, Cheonjiyeon Falls, &more). Spend the 18th (Tue) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Step off the beaten path and head to Gwanghwamun Gate and National Folk Museum of Korea. There's much more to do: take an in-depth tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace, wander the streets of Insadong, take in the spiritual surroundings of Jongmyo Shrine, and make a trip to N Seoul Tower.

Getting from Jeju to Seoul by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. In July in Seoul, expect temperatures between 34°C during the day and 27°C at night. On the 25th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can fly back home.
