Once synonymous with the mysterious and inaccessible Shangri-La, today Kathmandu draws an ever-increasing number of tourists, catering to independent travelers of various budgets.Explore Kathmandu's surroundings by going to Bhaktapur (Ugrachandi and Bhairav Statues, Nyatapola Temple, &more). On the 11th (Wed), spend a fun day on foot with Walking tours. There's still lots to do: see the world from above with a helicopter tour, take in the spiritual surroundings of Boudhanath Stupa, push the limits with an extreme tour, and see the sights as you ascend with a climbing tour.
