Chuncheon — 1 night

The capital of the country's northernmost province, the city of Chuncheon acts a gateway to the wilder sights of the rural region.
Start off your visit on the 21st (Wed): get in on the family fun at Gangchon Rail Park, then step off the mainland to explore Nami Island, and then wander the streets of Chuncheon Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street.

You can drive from Seoul to Chuncheon in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a subway. In December, daily temperatures in Chuncheon can reach 3°C, while at night they dip to -5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Thu) early enough to catch the flight to Gyeongju.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
On the 22nd (Thu), steep yourself in history at Cheomseongdae Observatory, examine the collection at Gyeongju National Museum, and then explore the activities along Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.

Fly from Chuncheon to Gyeongju in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Chuncheon in December, expect a bit warmer with lows of 0°C in Gyeongju. Finish your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Fri) so you can drive to Busan.

Establishing a name for itself as "Korea's Ecological Capital," Suncheon sits nestled on the southwest coastline of the Korean peninsula, a haven of scenic beauty.
On the 26th (Mon), make a trip to Suncheon Open Film Set, stroll around Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve, and then get to know the fascinating history of Nagan Eupseong Folk Village. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the spiritual surroundings of Seonamsa Temple, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Songgwangsa Temple, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Saseongam Temple 四聖庵.
