Discover out-of-the-way places like Praia da Batata and Praia do Pinhao. Do some cultural sightseeing at Lagos Ciencia Viva Science Centre and Lagos Farol da Ponta da Piedade. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Lagos: Armacao de Pera (Pescadores Beach & Aurora Boat Trips), Praia dos Salgados (in Gale) and Armacao de Pera Beach (in Silves). There's lots more to do: stroll through Praia do Canavial, enjoy the sand and surf at Vau Beach, and test your team's savvy at popular escape rooms.

Explore hidden gems such as Basilica de San Vicente and La Latina. Do some cultural sightseeing at Catedral de Avila and Real Monasterio de Santo Tomas. Step out of Madrid to go to Avila and see Casco Historico de Avila, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. There's still lots to do: soar above the sights with a balloon tour, visit Gay Madrid & the Chueca District, take a stroll through Barrio de Salamanca, and steep yourself in history at Plaza de la Villa.

You can fly from Lagos to Madrid in 4.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone difference moving from Western European Standard Time (WET) to Central European Standard Time (CET) is 1 hour. Traveling from Lagos in July, expect nights in Madrid to be about the same, around 68°F, while days are a bit warmer, around 94°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Sat) so you can drive to Huesca.
