The port city of Otaru has long attracted domestic visitors, drawn in by the city's many historic buildings, and has started to garner international attention, too.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Funamizaka Slope as well as Mt.Tengu. On the 7th (Wed), stop by Otaru Music Box Museum Main Building and then contemplate the waterfront views at Otaru Canal. On the 8th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: hunt for treasures at Sankaku Market, make a trip to Funamizaka Slope, steep yourself in history at The Site of Temiya Line, admire the landmark architecture of Former Maebori Store, then examine the collection at Otaru Museum, Bank of Japan, and finally take in the awesome beauty at Mt.Tengu.

Singapore, Singapore to Otaru is an approximately 13-hour flight. The time zone difference moving from Singapore Standard Time to Japan Standard Time is 1 hour. Traveling from Singapore in December, things will get much colder in Otaru: highs are around 0°C and lows about -2°C. You'll have a few hours on the 9th (Fri) to wrap things up before traveling to Furano.

On the 9th (Fri), make a trip to Ningle Terrace. Perhaps the island's best-known hot spring resort, Noboribetsu has a long history of tourism.
On the 14th (Wed), find something for the whole family at Noboribetsu Date Historic Village, then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas, then get to know the resident critters at Noboribetsu Bear Park, and finally stroll around Sengen Park.
