Seoul — 17 nights

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Gapyeong-gun (Homyeong Lake & Monument for the Participation of Canada in the Korean War), Nami Island (in Chuncheon) and DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju). Pack the 24th (Mon) with family-friendly diversions at Lotte World. There's still lots to do: take an in-depth tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace, take a stroll through Insadong, admire the striking features of Changdeokgung Palace, and explore the striking landscape of Bukhansan National Park.

For more things to do, ratings, other places to visit, and tourist information, refer to the Seoul visit planner.

If you are flying in from Switzerland, the closest major aiports are Gimpo International Airport, Incheon International Airport and Osan Air Base. Expect a daytime high around 20°C in April, and nighttime lows around 9°C.
