Once the capital of the sultanate, Nizwa stands as one of the longest-established urban areas in the country, and has retained its traditional core.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Fri): contemplate the long history of Nizwa Fort, admire the striking features of Tanuf Ruins, then steep yourself in history at Bahla Fort, and finally step into the grandiose world of Jibreen Castle.
