Willemstad, Curacao — 7 nights

Willemstad is the capital city of Curaçao, an island in the southern Caribbean Sea that forms a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Daaibooi Beach and Waterskiing & Jetskiing. Visiting Playa PortoMari and Hato Caves will get you outdoors. Venture out of the city with trips to Flamingo Sanctuary Sint Willibrordus (in Sint Willibrordus), Watamula Hole (in Sabana Westpunt) and Museo di Ka'i Orgel (in Barber). There's much more to do: brush up on your military savvy at Maritime Museum Curacao, see the interesting displays at Tula Museum, get a sense of history and politics at Fort Amsterdam, and step off the mainland to explore Klein (Little) Curacao.
