One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
You'll explore and learn at Gyeongbokgung Palace and The War Memorial of Korea. For shopping fun, head to Myeongdong Shopping Street or Namdaemun Market. And it doesn't end there: visit Bukchon Hanok Village, steep yourself in history at Changdeokgung Palace, explore the striking landscape of Bukhansan National Park, and get engrossed in the history at National Museum of Korea.

Istanbul, Turkey to Seoul is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. You'll lose 6 hours traveling from Istanbul to Seoul due to the time zone difference. While traveling from Istanbul, expect a bit cooler days and much colder nights in Seoul, ranging from highs of 13°C to lows of 3°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Fri) so you can go by car to Sokcho.

Sokcho — 2 nights

Tourism in Sokcho mostly revolves around the local national park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Sat): get outside with Osaek Jujeongol Valley, then explore the wealth of natural beauty at Seoraksan National Park, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Biryong Falls. On the 4th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Cheonjin Beach, enjoy the sand and surf at Songjiho Beach, then head outdoors with Bongpo Beach, then witness a stunning natural landmark at Cheoksan Foot Spa Park, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Naksansa Temple.

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Mon): look for all kinds of wild species at Gyeongju Bird Park, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple, then appreciate the history behind Seokguram, and finally contemplate the long history of Cheonmachong Tomb. The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
