Traveling by flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a train. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Tue) early enough to catch the flight to Hanoi.

In March, daily temperatures in Ninh Binh can reach 28°C, while at night they dip to 22°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Mon) early enough to drive to Mai Chau.

Mai Châu is a rural district of Hòa Bình Province in the Northwest region of Vietnam. Kick off your visit on the 28th (Tue): Head underground at Chieu Cave and then contemplate the waterfront views at Hoa Binh Lake. On the 29th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Lac Village, then explore and take pictures at White Rock Pass, then admire the sheer force of Go Lao Waterfall, and finally get great views at Thung Khe Pass.

Mù Cang Chải is a rural district of Yên Bái Province, in the Northwest region of Vietnam. Start off your visit on the 30th (Thu): go for a walk through La Pan Tan, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Khau Pha Pass, and then don't miss a visit to Lim Mong Village.

Explore your travel options from Mai Chau to Mu Cang Chai with the Route module. On the 31st (Fri), you're off to Sapa.

A hub of tourism in the country's northwestern mountainous region, Sapa represents home for a large number of ethnic minorities from the hill tribes of the region, and acts as a base for explorations of the surrounding area's wealth of natural sights.
