One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Take a break from the city and head to Bukhansan National Park and Nature & Wildlife Tours. For shopping fun, head to Myeongdong Shopping Street or Times Square Mall. Change things up with these side-trips from Seoul: Ilsan Lake Park (in Goyang), Songdo Central Park (in Incheon) and Suwon (Dongbukgongsimdon & Hwaseong Fortress). There's much more to do: explore the galleries of Gyeongbokgung Palace, see the interesting displays at Grevin Museum, explore the world behind art at National Folk Museum of Korea, and appreciate the extensive heritage of Changgyeonggung Palace.
