One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Myeongdong Shopping Street and GOTO Mall. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Hwaseong Fortress and Nature & Wildlife Tours. Get out of town with these interesting Seoul side-trips: Suwon (Seonamgangnu Pavilion & Hwaseong Haenggung Palace) and Incheon (Songdo Central Park & Incheon Bridge). Spend the 26th (Mon) exploring nature at Bukhansan National Park. The adventure continues: steep yourself in history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, don't miss a visit to Changgyeonggung Palace, pause for some photo ops at Gwanghwamun Gate, and stroll through Cheonggyecheon Stream.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Get a sense of the local culture at Gyeongju Historic Area and Tongdosa Temple. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Beomeosa Temple and Tomb of King Suro. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Busan: Gyeongju (Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, Gyeongju Hyanggyo, &more) and Gimhae (Gimhae Folk Museum & Birthplace of President Roh Moo-hyun).
