One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Republic of Korea, Gyeongju combines a rich cultural heritage with mountain and coastal scenery.Get out of town with these interesting Gyeongju side-trips: Tongdosa Temple (in Yangsan), Daegu (Donghwasa, Daegu Safety Theme Park, &more) and Ulsan (Ulsan Grand Park, Seoknamsa Temple, &more). Spend the 17th (Mon) exploring nature at Juwangsan National Park. Spend the 18th (Tue) exploring nature at Gyeongju National Park. There's lots more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Bulguksa Temple, contemplate the long history of Yangdong Folk Village, contemplate the waterfront views at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, and pause for some photo ops at Daereungwon Tomb Complex.
