Madrid, Spain to Jeju is an approximately 19-hour flight. Traveling from Madrid to Jeju, you'll lose 8 hours due to the time zone difference. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Tue) to allow enough time to fly to Busan.

Busan is known for sightseeing, beaches, and shopping. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: get outside with Haeundae Beach, take an in-depth tour of Bokcheon Museum, make a trip to Yongdusan Park, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

You can fly from Jeju to Busan in 2.5 hours. Other options are to do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. In August, plan for daily highs up to 36°C, and evening lows to 27°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Sun) so you can go by car to Gyeongju.

Venture out of the city with trips to Juwangsan National Park (in Cheongsong-gun), Ulsan Daegok Museum (in Ulsan) and Daegu (Gukchaebosang Memorial Park, Seomun Market, &more). There's much more to do: steep yourself in history at Bulguksa Temple, contemplate the waterfront views at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, appreciate the history behind Royal Tomb of King Jinpyeong, and make a splash at Gyeongju California Beach Water Park.

You can drive from Busan to Gyeongju in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Traveling from Busan in August, you will find days in Gyeongju are little chillier (26°C), and nights are about the same (26°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a train to Daejeon.

Get out of town with these interesting Daejeon side-trips: Beopjusa Temple (in Boeun-gun), Cheongnamdae (in Cheongju) and Buyeo-gun (Gungnamji Pond, Busosanseong Fortress, &more). Next up on the itinerary: witness a stunning natural landmark at Yuseong Hot Springs Public Foot Bath, make a splash at Spavis, see the sky in a new way at National Science Museum, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Gagwonsa Temple.

Take a train from Gyeongju to Daejeon in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Gyeongju in August, expect nights in Daejeon to be about the same, around 25°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 35°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 21st (Mon) early enough to go by car to Pyeongchang-gun.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Pyeongchang-gun: Jeongseon 5-day Market (in Jeongseon-gun), Guinsa Temple (in Danyang-gun) and Guryongsa Temple (in Wonju). It doesn't end there: take in the spiritual surroundings of Sangwonsa.

Traveling by car from Daejeon to Pyeongchang-gun takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and taxi; or take a bus. Cap off your sightseeing on the 24th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Yangyang-gun.
