The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
You've added Bijarim Forest, Hyeopjae Beach, Jeju Fire Festival, and other attractions to your itinerary. Change things up with these side-trips from Jeju: Seogwipo (Halla Mountain & Seongsan Ilchulbong). Next up on the itinerary: head off the coast to Udo and head outdoors with Hamdeok Beach.

Busan — 5 nights

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Upo Wetland, Oedo Botania, APEC Naru Park, and other attractions you added. Take a break from Busan with a short trip to Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju, about 2 hours away. There's lots more to do: kick back and relax at Gwangalli Beach, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Beomeosa Temple, and get great views at Taejongdae.

Traveling by flight from Jeju to Busan takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry and car; or do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train. April in Busan sees daily highs of 22°C and lows of 10°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Wed) so you can take a train to Daejeon.

A sprawling metropolis and center for research, Daejeon stands as the fifth largest city in South Korea.
