Kolkata (Calcutta), India to Kathmandu is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and car. The time zone changes from India Standard Time (IST) to Nepal Time (NPT), which is usually a 0.2 hour difference. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Kolkata (Calcutta) in December, with highs in Kathmandu at 22°C and lows at 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Tue) to allow time to travel to Pokhara.

Getting from Kathmandu to Pokhara by combination of car and flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Kathmandu in December, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit warmer in Pokhara, with lows of 10°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 15th (Thu) early enough to catch the flight back home.
