Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Myeongdong Shopping Street and Namdaemun Market. Get some cultural insight at Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace. When traveling from Seoul in October, plan for a bit warmer days and little chillier nights in Busan: temperatures range from 26°C by day to 15°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Yeosu.

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Head to Dongmun Market and The Islanderfor plenty of shopping. Appreciate the collections at O’sulloc Tea Museum and Jeju Folk Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Jeju: Seogwipo (Jeju Folk Village, Gasiri Wind Power Plant, &more). Spend the 18th (Fri) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Hamdeok Beach, get a taste of the local shopping with Arario Museum Tapdong Cinema, head outdoors with Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach, and explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave.

A popular vacation island for Koreans and foreigners with a mild coastal climate, Jeju-do offers hiking, caving, horseback riding, and plenty of beaches on which to relax and observe the sunset. A holiday in Jeju-do usually involves a visit to a UNESCO-protected lava tube, where you can see the world’s largest known lava column. Other lava and limestone caves set in botanical gardens, as well as a number of folk villages, combine to offer a diverse range of attractions during treks through the densely forested island, with the well-marked hiking trails also leading past giant basalt statues. Inland theme parks--ranging from a teddy bear museum to an erotic sculpture park--and golf courses provide a diverse range of entertainment options.
