Istanbul, Turkey to Famagusta is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of bus, train, and ferry. The time zone difference when traveling from Istanbul to Famagusta is minus 1 hour. While traveling from Istanbul, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Famagusta, ranging from highs of 19°C to lows of 8°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can go by car to Kyrenia.

Famous for its natural port and Byzantine castle, Kyrenia is not only a lovely old Venetian town, but also the most visited tourist destination in Northern Cyprus.

Kyrenia is known for historic sites, nature, and beaches. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: steep yourself in history at Bellapais Monastery, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of Antiphonitis, step into the grandiose world of Saint Hilarion Castle, and get engrossed in the history at Ancient Shipwreck Museum.

Traveling by car from Famagusta to Kyrenia takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In January in Kyrenia, expect temperatures between 17°C during the day and 6°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Sun) so you can fly back home.
