An alpine haven resting in a plush evergreen national park, Dilijan has made a name for itself as the "Armenian Switzerland." A much-loved spa town rich in culture and history, uncover the majestic 10th century monasteries, undisturbed scenic vistas, and hiking trails through undulating forest.
Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Dilijan: Hayravank Monastery (in Hayravank), Noratus Cemetery (in Noratus) and Monastery Sevanavank (in Sevan). There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Haghartsin Monastery, don't miss a visit to Goshavank Monastery, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saint Sargis Chapel, and pause for some photo ops at Monument to the Heroes of the Film Mimino.
