Island of the Gods

The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju, has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO. The World Heritage-listed volcanic island includes the country's highest peak, sets of impressive lava tubes and columns, and several crater lakes.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Woljeongri Beach, Seopjikoji and Hyeopjae Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Jeju side-trips: Seogwipo (Halla Mountain, O’sulloc Tea Museum, &more). There's lots more to do: admire the natural beauty at Hallim Park, don't miss a visit to Jeju Kimnyoung Maze Park, tour the pleasant surroundings at Yongduam Rock, and kick back and relax at Gwakji Gwamul Beach.

Seoul to Jeju is an approximately 2.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train, taxi, and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. While traveling from Seoul, expect a bit warmer days and about the same nights in Jeju, ranging from highs of 30°C to lows of 26°C. You'll set off for Seoul on the 23rd (Fri).

Seoul — 2 nights

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.
Kick off your visit on the 24th (Sat): stroll through Cheonggyecheon Stream, then admire the landmark architecture of Changdeokgung Palace, and then take an in-depth tour of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Keep things going the next day: get great views at N Seoul Tower, then stop by Insadong, and then wander the streets of Bukchon Hanok Village.

You can fly from Jeju to Seoul in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of ferry, taxi, and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Jeju in September: highs in Seoul hover around 26°C, while lows dip to 25°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 25th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
