9 days in Hamilton Itinerary

Hamilton is a town in South Lanarkshire, in the central Lowlands of Scotland. You'll explore and learn at Summerlee - Museum of Scottish Industrial Life and National Museum of Rural Life. Get some cultural insight at Chatelherault and New Lanark World Heritage Site. Venture out of the city with trips to Potter Around (in Kirknewton), Lanark (Netherfield Alpacas, Lanark Covenanter Monument, &more) and Linlithgow Palace (in Linlithgow). Belfast to Hamilton is an approximately 5-hour car ride. You can also drive. Expect a daytime high around 20°C in June, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Fri) early enough to travel to Hamilton.

Start off your visit on the 10th (Sat): get engrossed in the history at Biggar and Upper Clydesdale Museum, take an in-depth tour of Biggar Gasworks, and then make a trip to Hamilton Mausoleum.
