  • Absolutely loved this fort, the history behind it and the temporary exhibition on the British explorer that crossed the empty quarter not once but twice on foot with local tribal guides. Absolute...

  • The desert earthen architecture at its best. Have a look at the 15 minute restoration movie before you take a walk around the fort and you will appreciate the excellence of the work that was done...

  • I really enjoyed my visit to Al Jahili Fort. The staff are super friendly and the Fort interesting to explore. The best part for me was the Mubarak Bin London exhibition. Wilfred Thesiger was an amazing and inspiring explorer and this exhibition has amazing stories, photos and information about him and his companions. Highly recommended.
  • Great place and well restored. Be prepared to be there for at least 1.5hrs if you are interested in the history and a little walk about. The staff working there are helpful too. It was a good experience, I enjoyed myself.
