Camas nan Geall, Glenbeg

Best viewpoint. Worth waiting around, I saw 4 golden eagles and a white tailed eagle from this spot.

Great view point with hard standing car park, overlooking Camus nan Geall & Ben Hiant. There are information boards giving details of what you are looking at, you can walk down to a small beach area at the bottom of the hill with a deserted property and headstones. From the view point directly ahead is Ben Hiant with a deserted village on the lower hill (can be challenging to get too) and to the left, the Isle of Mull. Sit and take in the dramatic landscape. We visited in February this year (2022) and during our stop at the viewpoint, we had all 4 seasons, sun, snow, hail, gails and sun, which just adds to the atmosphere. A little further up the road, the walk route up Ben Hiant can be accessed, a rugged, demanding, but fairly short walk up the mountain.
