Create an itinerary including Buachaille Etive Mor
Buachaille Etive Mor represents one of the most recognizable sights in the country. The peak of the pyramid-shaped mountain stands at 1,021 m (3,350 ft), with bare rocks at the top and lush green grass at the base. If you visit during the winter months, expect snow and really cold weather. Plan my trip to Glencoe with suggested itineraries provided by Inspirock.

  • You don't have to climb it to enjoy Buachaille Etive Mor! There is a small parking lot off the single track road. It is a photographer's must-go spot in the area, so can be busy sometimes. My advice.....  more

  • This is a fabulous climb but you need to be experienced and fit to get to the summit. However, there are plenty of easy trails to hike and walk to enjoy the stunning scenery.

  • What a place! If you get the weather the views from the top of breathtaking. Quite a long day to complete the full round of Munros and Munro tops. ** Note ** This walk was done with my dog 🐶
  • The elephant in the room with Glencoe is the road, and the motorbikes (who invented those male mid-life crisis gratification machines) . It’s noisy, dangerous and unavoidable. All the summits in Glencoe are within earshot, there is no path parallel to the road, despite the very high level of foot traffic. Reduce the speed limit, 20 would be plenty. I’d love this mountain a lot more without the traffic.Anyway, let’s talk about the walk. Up the gully, turn left, up the obvious path, gasp and get the impression that you are flying. Rannoch Moor laid out at your feet. Back down to the saddle and up, left, over a second summit. You can carry on to the far end for views down Glen Etive, or turn right and drop form to the burn at the valley floor for a cooling dip. Don’t get run over on the road.
