Founded in 1830, the distillery has been pleasing the palates of whisky sippers for centuries. • Talisker is our favorite whisky, so this distillery had a head start. The tour was informative and the tasting was special. They have a nice selection of whiskies in the gift shop, including some bottles you can't get anywhere else.
  • Beautiful spot, but the shop was extremely impersonal and no tasting despite wanting to purchase a bottle to go home which I find ridiculous - why buy from a distillery rather than Tesco’s if there is no option to try what you are buying and without the experience of discussing flavours with the experts The outside bar was nice with great chat and local knowledge from the staff there but I got the impression they were equally bemused by the current tasting policy
