Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, Cheltenham

Lovely day out Didn't need to pay for parking Beautiful scenery, so lovely to see the race track itself. Enjoyed going on both the diesel train and later the steam train home. Lovely playground in Toddington. The food smells so good, a little pricey but then again it is home made. Lovely picnic area outside the front too. We enjoyed the family time.

I visited to take photos of the steam locomotives and wasn't disappointed. Located in the Gloucestershire countryside the station at Toddington is beautiful. The staff compared to other heritage railways were very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. The two platforms gave very good views of the locomotives and we were treated to more shows than advertised. The on site facilities were very good. The cafe served a decent cuppa, the toilets were clean and the car park costs were very good and not expensive. Well worth a visit.
