The castle was about 10 minutes walk but this was on a proper path so there were no worries about mud although the castle was cordoned off for ‘safety reasons’ so I couldn’t actually go inside, or get decent pictures. I did a circuit of the ruins and then walked past some highland cattle and back to the car. Best to look at from the A855 viewpoint.

Beautiful castle. It really worth the time. From the parking car you have a little walk of 10 min to the castle. Maybe you could see highlands cow in the path. I love it
