    Pretty on the outside, but closed. We did visit the nearby Castle restaurant, good Sunday roast. We heard the Castle would be closed for a couple of years.

    We had about 90 minutes to explore Inverness City Centre. We drove by the castle, which I have seen on a previous visit but our time was limited so we power shopped thru the city. There's lots to see....  more

    Not currently open to the public. You can walk up the hill to the castle and get great views of the city and river. There are some tablets set in the ground on the city side near the car park which have some interesting historical facts about the castle. It is going to be open to the public in the next few years.

    I was soo excited to visit the Castle just to discover it is under construction. CLOSED!!! But you have to climb uphill just to discover it. By any means it is an amazing structure it would be great to visit when it opens.
