Routenburn Golf Course, opened 1913, is a fantastic example of a James Braid designed golf course. Although not the longest course, at 5262 yards, this hilly, moorland course offers a challenge for all levels of golfers as well as some breathtaking views over to Arran, the Cumbraes and beyond.

Routenburn is the course where Sam Torrance developed his skills under the watchful eye of his father Bob Torrance, before going on to become a leading player on the European Tour, a regular member of Europe’s Ryder Cup Team, the 2002 Ryder Cup Captain & than a leading contender on the European Seniors Tour.

PGA Professional Greig McQueen is based on site at Routenburn providing a well stocked shop as well as golf instruction and coaching for golfers of all levels
