    I was amazed by the beautiful cross stitch samplers - Just stunning. The Sanquhar knitting too - amazing. Very friendly lady working there too.

    Great little museum - lots of local objects are carefully preserved. Clearly people of this area have been industrious and entrepreneurial. Unfortunately the 8m audio-visual presentation was not available when I visited. The lady at the desk dismissed it as it was produced in 1980s. But we expect to see old materials in museum:)!

    Interesting wee museum based in a very historic building with lots to read and learn. Don't know who funds this free museum but well worth a visit.
