Stirling Old Town Jail, Stirling

Great views from the jail. Lots of information around the Jail. App was also very informative. First half of the tour had a guide-Matthew was brilliant and very knowledgeable. The second half was self guided and gives you a good chance to explore at your own pace. Good value for money.

Great afternoon out! The staff were so, so friendly & I loved the free app with audio segments for us to listen to as we went round! Matthew, who took us for the first part of the tour & performance, was just outstanding! He had to switch in to several different characters with just the placement of a hat or the buttoning of a shirt & he really made the experience! They had sanitary towels, etc in the toilets too which is such a small detail to point to here but it was just further proof that they really thought about their guests. There was signs throughout making sure displays were available in multiple languages & there were certainly members of staff who could speak multiple languages too - which is just amazing for making that experience all the more accessible. The views from the top were gorgeous too. We were staying in Edinburgh & drove over to Stirling for it but we clearly need to stay in Stirling sometime soon to explore this beautiful place!
