  • Afternoon hike from the Christian Pond Trail to Grand view point about 6 miles in round way. The view at the top was beautiful even it was a bit foggy that day, still could see the lake and the mountains. I kinda enjoyed the different landscape in this weather. Not many people on this trial at afternoon I’ve only run into roughly 10 people on the trail including some cowboys and cowgirls riding on the horses. So it is quite and peaceful. There are some sign of being bear aware and the protection of running into a bear. But I was so glad I didn’t meet the animals on the trial cuz I was hiking alone lol.
  • Great walk!! Great experience!!! It is imperative that you carry bear spray with you. Although we did not come across any bears, it is an area full of them and precautions must be taken. My uncles and I went around the two lakes (you can see the trail online) and it took us about 7 hours. One of the crossings was flooded and we had to go into the stream with water around our waistline in order to proceed. Please do not do such thing without the necessary equipment. My uncles are experienced hikers and we had all the kit necessary to perform such crossing. Do not ruin your experience. Do not go into the water as there might be strong currents or other nasty obstacles.
