  • The Alamo is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. We did not go inside because it was Labor Day weekend and packed. But it was free, you just had to have a ticket for timed entry. We enjoyed...

  • I had not been to the Alamo for around 25 years. It was great teaching my children about the sacrifice that so many made for freedom. They were shocked to see how there were people from all over the world protecting the Alamo. The building still stands for freedom. They have done many things to better preserve it since I last went. The exhibit hall is nice and they are building a new much larger exhibit hall that is nearly complete. I would recommend visiting the Alamo if you are in San Antonio. All of the staff were very nice and knowledgeable. They took the time to speak to my children and answer any questions they had.
  • It was great to re-visit The Alamo and watch my husband on his first visit. The historic presenter inside was so knowledgeable and engaging. The audio tour was a real boost to our enjoyment. The whole experience was fascinating, the grounds and buildings are nice and clean and there are places to sit and stop outside of necessary. There is a lot of information presented so if you have time for a quick brush up before you go....I would do it. Great history for our country.
