Absolutely gorgeous views on a relatively easy walking trail. We didn't realize the distance from the viewpoint rock around the Mesa to the parking lot and ran out of daylight. Returned in darkness...

A nice hike just below the rim of the mesa. Because it's a loop around, you get some nice views of the surrounding valleys and vistas. If you're lucky, you may have a small plane fly overhead when you're near the end of the runway. A portion of this hike runs adjacent to the airport fence, so you sort of lose that "nature" aspect for that part. Otherwise it's a different and cool type of hike.

This is my favorite hike that I’ve done in Sedona! It is a very moderate hike with gorgeous views that are visible shortly into the hike. Unlike Devil’s Bridge and Cathedral Rock (where the trail is quite frightening at times because of narrow ledges or steep, smooth inclines) this hike feels safe and much less intimidating. Perfect for newbie hikers and experienced hikers who are looking for a beautiful stroll.
