Known as Vietnam's tallest Buddha statue, Lady Buddha sprinkles offshore fishermen and sailors with holy water to bring them prosperity and good fortune. Standing 72 meters (236 ft) tall, the statue faces the Son Tra Sea from a mountain, overlooking the city and distant landscapes. As you arrive at the pagoda gate, notice how the vast complex surrounding the statue combines modernity and tradition. Constructed of white marble, each of the structure's floors celebrate a different incarnation of Buddha. • This is more of a Temple ground than a tourist site, there are people, monks and nuns chanting, it is a live and practising temples. It is also very hot here, remember to bring an umbrella, also...

  • Weather day or night a great Da Nang tourist visit. We were able to buy umbrellas on site for $1.5 each because there was a light rain when we visited, Please remember to dress respectfully.

  • Nice to visit if you're in the area I suppose, but honestly if you've seen other statues similar they do get a bit samey. I'd recommend you get a motorbike and drive up yourself as it's quite an easy journey and relatively scenic. Worth stopping off at the lake and grabbing a coconut on your way down at one of the roadside vendors to cool off too.
  • An extraordinary place. The big temples and statues are just amazing. A lot of unique trees, that are well maintained. There weren’t so many people there, no tickets needed to enter this place. And you can find cute monkeys running around near some trees, please don’t harass or disturb them.
