Admire a huge 24 m (79 ft) tall statue of White Gautama Buddha--the largest outdoor scultpure in Vietnam--at Long Son Pagoda, the largest pagoda in the country. Intricate dragon mosaics made of glass and ceramic tiles decorate the entrance to the temple, with the large statue of the reclining Buddha resting in the temple’s well-manicured garden. Climb 152 steps to the top of the mountain to enjoy the big Buddha arising from lush greenery from a distance, as well as gaining panoramic views over the city. • Interesting architecture and layout. Beautiful bonsais are all around. Inside the praying hall, mantras were being blared aloud at full volume. On the walls are wise words and teachings written in both Vietnamese and English. You should bring your own water and/or cooling object, because the journey up the stairs could be tiring. If you didn't, some people walk around selling paper/fabric fans, and at the top of the stairs sits a refreshment stall that sells cold drinks at higher prices than normal.
  • Nice temple to check out with a huge Buddha status on the top of the mountain and the famous laying Buddha. Pretty small. If you want to visit the inside of the temple, remember to have proper clothing, covering the shoulders and knees.
