Create an itinerary including Phong Nha Caves
A collection of 300 caves and grottos within a World Heritage-listed national park, Phong Nha Caves boast the largest cave in the world. Access the site by boat along the Son River, wending through steep limestone cliffs covered with lush vegetation. The caves feature intricate stalagmite formations suspended like giant octopuses from the ceiling. Explore strange shapes formed over millions of years as your boat glides along some 1.2 km (0.75 mi) deep in the cave. The caves make up part of the oldest karst mountain in Asia. Using our custom trip planner, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park attractions like Phong Nha Caves can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Did the full day kayak and cave scrambling tour thru Phong Kna cave. This is a unique part of the world for caves and to have the opportunity to explore so far into many of the caves. World class...

  • This cave is smaller than Paradise cave but entry ticket is 120K per person. Overall if you have lesser time and want to avoid crowds, come early in the morning around 7-9 AM and then wait for other people to share the boat with you which is another 550K that can me shared by max 12 people. Boat ride is calming.
  • Departed from Hue and it took around 5 hours to get there at noon. Had a hearty lunch and took a 20-minute boat ride to the cave along the Son River. It was calm and enjoying. Couldn't get further to the cave because of the water level (it had rained days before we got there at the beginning of December). Didn't see the blue-green waters, either. So recommend you to take weather into account. Anyway, the stalactites with eye-catching shapes deserved admiration for this Unesco world heritage site.
